Where Can I Serve?
Jesus told us, his disciples, to make disciples of all nations. One of the most important values of Believers Baptist Church is our mission to the world. It begins in our own community, and spreads overseas to every nation. Believers Baptist members are involved in a variety of ministries from things as simple as washing the church vehicles, to preparing the church bulletins.
Children (Newborn through 6th grades)
We have separate classes for our children, both during Sunday school and during the morning service, designed especially to meet their spiritual needs. Our goal is to aid and support the training they receive at home from godly parents. We also offer a children’s program on Wednesday evenings.
Youth (7th through 12th grades)
The youth group at Believers Baptist Church is devoted to seeing today’s generation actively involved in their walk with God through Bible reading, preaching, ministry, and fun activities. The youth group meets for Sunday school at 9:45am, and for teen time on Wednesdays at 6:45pm. We would love for your young people to become part of the next generation of leaders at BBC!
Adults
We offer Sunday school classes, dinner fellowships, and mid-week Bible studies and prayer time for all adults. Both the ladies and the men have monthly fellowships where they are encouraged to serve and meet the many needs within the church family. There is also a monthly church-wide potluck for all the families specifically designed for fellowship.
Leesburg Christian School
A major aspect of our ministry is Leesburg Christian School (LCS). We offer quality education from kindergarten through twelfth grade. LCS is a member of the Old Dominion Association of Church Schools (ODACS), which is affiliated with American Association of Christian Schools. LCS also competes in the Virginia Association of Christian Athletes (VACA). We believe strongly that it takes the cooperation of the local church, a Christian-based education, and godly parents, together, to help raise balanced Christian young people. www.leesburgchristianschool.org
Worship
Bible – Our main text is from the King James Version (KJV) translation. However, we do encourage the use of other good translations as well as commentaries for personal Bible study. Pastor Overstreet’s goal in preaching is to make the Bible applicable to everyday life.
Music – We use traditional hymns and contemporary choruses in our worship services. We enjoy singing as a congregation, blending in harmony, and singing out in praise to the Lord. We encourage all members to participate in special music, so that they might serve God with their gifts and encourage others in praise and song.
